The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process through which unbaptized adults or adults baptized in other faith traditions discern whether they are being called to become members of the Catholic Church. The process is a time of formal study of Scripture, Church teaching and Church tradition. It is a time of exploration of the Sacramental and communal life of the Church. Above all, it is a time of developing a personal relationship with God in the three persons of the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
RCIA for Children
This program is a modification of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults in order to meet the needs of children of catechetical age (7 -17 years old) who have not been baptized. Children and youth in this program will receive the sacraments of baptism, first communion and confirmation; they must also be registered in and attending the appropriate grade-level CCE classes.
